There are certain summers that stick with you—not because everything went smoothly, but because life had a way of handing you exactly the lessons you needed. My internship in the state of Washington, the summer of 1980, was one of those. Back then, I was a junior at Iowa State, trying to line up all the things I thought would guarantee a good job after graduation: solid grades, some campus involvement, and most importantly, that golden ticket on any engineering résumé—an internship in your field. So I spent the spring sending out application after application, collecting a thick stack of rejection letters in return. It became routine enough that some days I’d find myself laughing at how efficiently companies could say “No thanks.” My dorm room wall was full of “flush letters” and I treated it like it was a badge of honor.

Don't by overwhelmed by the diagram above. Think of an affiliate marketer as a "Connector". Connecting a customer with a solution. The ABS Hub Centric Model is the same model that Uber, Booking.com, Nerdwallet, etc. use to make millions in revenue every year. There is a link below to learn about the details. ABS has a low start-up cost and can be adapted / scaled to whatever product that you are selling. I am currently selling digital products to help other entrepreneurs start their businesses and generate passive income in a done-for-you template.
I started the ABS program a few weeks ago and I'm excited for my journey to add passive income to what I currently earn. If you are looking for a way to generate more income so that it provides you with the freedom to spend time on what matters to you, e.g. family, travel / vacations, humanitarian efforts, etc. than this may be the program for you. This dovetails nicely into our "Creating Your Beautiful Life" series by addressing wealth generation and having multiple sources of income.

The Affiliate Business System (ABS) by Vick Strizheus is a comprehensive program designed to help people navigate the complexities of affiliate marketing, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in this competitive space. Let’s dive into the details of ABS and explore the benefits of affiliate marketing in today’s world.
The ABS, created by Vick Strizheus, is an affiliate marketing training program that aims to guide individuals through the steps of building a successful affiliate business. The program is structured to cater to both beginners and experienced marketers, offering a step-by-step approach that includes training modules, live coaching sessions, and a supportive community.
One of the key features of ABS is its focus on practical, actionable strategies. It covers various aspects of affiliate marketing, including finding profitable niches, selecting the right affiliate products, building effective marketing funnels, and driving traffic through multiple channels. The system emphasizes the importance of building a strong online presence and cultivating long-term relationships with customers, which is crucial for sustained success in affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing offers numerous benefits, making it an attractive option for those seeking passive income:
1. Low Startup Costs: Unlike traditional businesses, affiliate marketing requires minimal investment. You don’t need to create products, manage inventory, or handle customer service. This makes it accessible to a broader range of people.
2. Flexibility and Freedom: Affiliate marketing allows you to work from anywhere, at any time. This flexibility is appealing to those who want to escape the 9-to-5 grind and enjoy a more balanced lifestyle.
3. Passive Income Potential: Once you’ve set up your affiliate marketing system, it can continue to generate income with minimal ongoing effort. This passive income potential allows you to earn money while you sleep, travel, or focus on other pursuits.
4. Scalability: Affiliate marketing is highly scalable. As you gain experience and refine your strategies, you can expand your efforts to multiple niches, creating multiple streams of income.
5. Diverse Opportunities: The internet offers a vast array of niches and products to promote. This diversity allows you to find affiliate opportunities that align with your interests and expertise.

Long Lake Summers
There are seasons in life you don’t see coming—chapters that don’t announce themselves with fanfare, yet settle so deeply into your memory that years later you can still smell the lake water, feel the pull of the tow rope, and hear the hum of a boat engine echoing across a still summer evening. For me, one of those chapters began the moment I graduated from Iowa State in May of 1981 and took my first real job at 3M. I was barely 22, carrying that mix of confidence and cluelessness that only a new graduate can pull off, and ready to step into the adult world.

Hero of the Beach
When I think back to my childhood— maybe around nine years old—there’s a very specific smell, a very specific feeling, that comes rushing back: the scent of ink and old paper from a stack of Marvel comic books. It’s funny how memory works. I can’t remember what I ate last Tuesday, but I can still picture—clear as day—the cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #56 with the Daily Bugle headlines screaming "Spidey joins Doc Ock" sitting on the floor of my bedroom, or the way the corner store rack looked when I spun it, hoping for a new issue of anything with the red-and-blue web-slinger on the front.
